Payday 3 was released just a few days ago. But players quickly complained about matchmaking problems with the shooter. This is really a big problem for a game where you can only play online. According to Starbreeze, the whole thing should now look better and further corrections are already on the way.
Matchmaking in Payday 3 is criminal
“Status update: Things are starting to look better. We’re seeing players being able to create lobbies and get back into the game again,” says Starbreeze. “You may still have some issues, bear with us as we focus on stabilization,” it said on Twitter.

You haven’t even been safe from server problems on your own, as you always have to be online for Payday 3.
Previously, matchmaking only worked sometimes, the servers were often unstable and sometimes even completely down. So it’s no wonder that the title has so far only received 33 percent positive reviews on Steam – although many players also comment on other features that they consider to be unsuccessful.
On Metacritic the user score is currently 1.9 points out of 10. Many players describe the title as “unplayable”, a “disaster”, a “joke” and even a “scam”. The unstable servers are the focus of criticism.
Payday 3 was released on September 21, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC. Developer Starbreeze Studios and publisher Deepsilver have revisited the heists in Part 3 with the well-known crew of masked criminals, improved some features and introduced new ones.
