Real Madrid comes back from Real to continue leading

Ancelotti’s men turn around a demanding first half with goals from Valverde and Joselu

MADRID, September 17 (.) –

Real Madrid beat Real Sociedad (2-1) this Sunday on the fifth day of LaLiga EA Sports held at the Santiago Bernabéu, a good reaction from the white team to continue leading without accusing the rival’s virtues or the pressure from FC Barcelona.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team made five out of five at the start of the campaign again with good feelings despite having the result against them. In a back-and-forth first half, Barrenetxea put the visitors ahead and, with Kubo unleashed, Real was even able to score some more.

Madrid also arrived in that exchange, but the plan, with Joselu as a reference without the injured Vinícius, was not to the taste of its coach. Fede Valverde’s equalizer in the first minute of the second half wreaked havoc on the faith of a much less incisive Real team in those 45 minutes, while Ancelotti saw the balance and good execution of a team that did not fail grow.

The white team accepted that initial give and take, but did not defend as the Italian liked. Kubo was free to play, scoring the goal for Barrenetxea after five minutes and could have done more damage if Kepa is not correct. Remiro also had work on the other side, but Real’s pressure recovered many balls in dangerous areas.

Carvajal’s drive was what freed the locals a little, with a very clear shot that neither Joselu, on the crossbar, nor Rodrygo knew how to convert at 1-1. The ‘txuri-urdin’ team finished the first half with the same arrivals with which the game began, but the time in the locker room did not suit them well. In the first minute of the return, Valverde started and finished the 1-1 play.

The Uruguayan shot a back pass from Fran García who had his first great night in white. The former Rayo player had depth and prominence on his side, also putting in the center for Joselu’s 2-1, an unmarked header at the hour mark. Ancelotti was reinforced with Camavinga and Modric, and Bellingham took a more liberated step forward in search of his goal of each day.

The Englishman was forgiving this time, especially in the closing with a good tackle from Brahim in the final minutes. Before the Champions League, Madrid resolved a demanding day to maintain its full strength and respond to a Barça that had fallen into the lead on Saturday. Meanwhile, Imanol Alguacil’s men, with the inconsequential entry of Sadiq, Cho and Zakharyan, suffered their first defeat of the season.
