There will be a blockade of Haryana Roadways buses on Wednesday demanding the arrest of those accused of murdering a roadways employee in Ambala. Issuing a call on behalf of Roadways Shared Morcha regarding the jam, it was announced that the operation of buses in all the depots will be stopped from 12 o’clock on Tuesday night. Also given an ultimatum that the strike could be extended if the murderers are arrested and other demands are not met.
Meanwhile, Transport Minister Moolchand Sharma has called the heads of roadways employee unions for a meeting regarding the traffic jam by the employees. Sharma will hold this meeting in Chandigarh on Wednesday at 5 pm.
Let us tell you that on the occasion of Diwali, the driver of Ambala depot, Rajveer Singh, resident of Sonipat, was beaten up by youths riding in a car. The driver died during treatment at Chandigarh PGI, the police has registered a case under several sections including murder. Now on Tuesday, several rounds of talks were held with the Ambala administration by the officials of Haryana Roadways Shared Morcha demanding strict action against the accused in the case. According to Common Morcha members Narendra Dinod and Krishna Un, the decision has been taken by blocking the road due to lack of concrete action by the Ambala administration and higher officials of the department.
