The Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, congratulated the former head of Government, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, for her victory in the Morena polls, which placed her at the head of the Defense Committees of the Fourth Transformation, heading towards the 2024 presidential election.
“Congratulations Dr. @Claudiashein on your appointment as coordinator of the Defense of the 4th Transformation. We are honored to know that the people elected an honest, hard-working and committed woman to continue the project headed by the President @lopezobrador_” the official wrote on her X account (formerly Twitter), minutes after the president of the National Council of Morena, Alfonso Durazo Montaño, announced the triumph of the former capital president.
This Wednesday the results of the five surveys carried out during Morena’s internal process were announced and in which Claudia Sheinbaum showed an advantage in each of them.
Thus, for the first time in history there will be two candidates for the Presidency.
