The National Seismological Service recorded a magnitude 5.1 earthquake
Northwest of Cintalapa, Chiapas. Previously reported that it was 5.9 and in Oaxaca.
“EARTHQUAKE Magnitude 5.1 Loc 67 km NORTHWEST of CINTALAPA, CHIS 11/02/23 17:58:38 Lat 16.85 Lon -94.33 Pf 127 km,” reported the National Seismological Institute on social networks.

The first report indicated that the earthquake occurred in Oaxaca, which is why seismic alerts were activated.
