Earthquake: People fled their homes in panic after a strong 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Morocco late on Friday night. Buildings have suffered a lot due to the earthquake. There has been power failure in many parts of the country. Earthquake tremors occurred at around 11:11 pm. The epicenter was 71 km south-west of Marrakesh at a depth of 18.5 km.
More than 300 people have died so far due to the earthquake in Morocco. Dozens of people have been injured. The death toll is likely to increase.
Some videos shared on social media show a building collapsing and debris on the streets. People can be seen running out of shopping centers, restaurants and apartments and gathering in vacant lots. People are scared and are staying out of fear of another earthquake.

Earthquake tremors on New Zealand’s Kermadec Islands
