Sonepat parliamentary seat candidate creates political stir in Jind – dainiktribuneonline.com

Jasmer Malik

Jind, 26 April

After the Congress announced its candidate from the Sonepat parliamentary seat, there has been a lot of political upheaval in Jind district. This is also because after 20 years some big political party has given ticket to Jind district leader from Sonepat parliamentary seat. Congress is the first such national party to have played this gamble. However, as a regional party in 2004, the Indian National Lok Dal contested the election from Sonepat with the wife of Haryana DGP Mahendra Singh Malik.

Satpal is celibate

Congress has made a big bet on Jind district, which has only one-third participation in Sonepat parliamentary constituency, by fielding Satpal Brahmachari of Jind district. Out of the 9 Assembly Constituencies of Sonepat Parliamentary Constituency, 3 Assembly Constituencies are Jind, Safidoon and Julana Assembly Constituencies of Jind District. Gohana, Baroda, Kharkhoda, Sonepat, Gannaur and Rai assembly constituencies of Sonepat district are included in this parliamentary constituency. Before the delimitation of 2009, both Safidon and Julana assembly constituencies of Jind district came under Sonepat Parliamentary Constituency.

When parliamentary elections were held under the new delimitation in 2009, the Jind assembly seat of Jind district was also included in the Sonepat parliamentary constituency. Congress candidate Satpal Brahmachari’s old village Barah Kalam is in a light state. His present village Gangoli is in Safidoon Halke of Jind district. Relying on him, Congress and former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda have tried to help Jind district, which has three assembly constituencies.

In 2019, when Bhupendra Hooda contested on a Congress ticket from Sonepat, he had to face defeat in these three assembly seats of Jind district. He has now made Satpal Brahmachari of Jind district a candidate and has given a message to the voters of these three assembly constituencies of Jind district that the people of Jind have a great chance to become their MP from Sonepat. Hooda’s influence is considered in 6 assembly constituencies of Sonepat district. In the 6 assembly constituencies of Sonepat, the entire effort to strengthen celibacy will remain in the Hooda camp. At the same time, in addition to the influence of Hooda in the three constituencies of Jind, white MLA Subhash Gangoli and contenders for the Congress ticket in Julana and Jind city and other senior leaders will have to work. It can also be said that Hooda will select candidates in the upcoming assembly elections according to the support Brahmachari gets from these circles.

Nahi chal paya tha chautala ka daav

INEL supremo Omprakash Chautala made a big bet on the Sonepat parliamentary seat in 2004 when he became Chief Minister. He had given ticket to Krishna Malik, daughter-in-law of Shamlo Kalan village of Julana Halke of Jind district and daughter of Bichpadi village of Sonepat. BJP’s Kishan Singh Sangwan won by securing 2 lakh 33 thousand 477 votes in these elections. Dharmapal Singh Malik of Congress came second with 2 lakh 25 thousand 908 votes. At the same time Krishna Malik who was at the third position got 1 lakh 98 thousand 866 votes.
