We have good news for future buyers of an iPhone 15. On its store, Apple has officially indicated that its new smartphones are compatible with a valuable accessory launched two years ago… the cloth.
Remember: Apple took advantage of the October 2021 keynote, mainly dedicated to the new MacBooks, to lift the veil on a new accessory at a stratospheric price, the cloth. Priced at 25 euros, it is decorated with the coat of arms of the Californian brand, the famous bitten apple.
As Apple explains on its store, the cloth is designed to clean the screen of the brand’s devices, including iPhones, Macs, iPads and even Apple Watches. To avoid damaging the screen coating, Tim Cook’s company relies on “a non-abrasive material that is soft to the touch”. Despite its high price, the accessory was a great success. The rag has long been out of stock.

Miracle, the wipe works with the new iPhone 15
On its site, Apple even lists all the terminals that are “compatible” with the little piece of cloth. You will be delighted to learn that the iPhone 15 Pro/15 Pro Max, the group’s new high-end flagships, have just been added to the list. This is also the case for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, the two more affordable models. You can therefore clean the touch screen of the four smartphones with the small piece of Apple-branded cloth.
Finally, Apple has also added the new Apple Watch to the long list of around a hundred compatible devices. The Apple Watch Series 9 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2, the new connected watches, join the selection.
Obviously, it is not necessary to wait for authorization from Apple to use the wipe on a screen, whether touchscreen or not. There is no reason why the piece of cloth cannot effectively clean the screen of an Android smartphone or an iPhone not listed in the list. Note also that Apple does not mention iPhones launched before the iPhone 5 as compatible with the wipe.
If you want to clean the screen of your new iPhone without spending 25 euros, remember that it is possible to find microfiber cleaning cloths, just as effective, on the market. On Amazon, you can find packs of twelve cloths for less than fifteen euros.
