World’s Best Airports Ranking: Singapore’s Changi Airport’s supremacy has been tarnished in the latest ranking of the world’s best airports. Changi Airport has slipped to second place in the ranking of best airports. This time, 12-time winner Singapore Airport has lost to Doha’s Hamad International Airport in the ‘World Airport Awards 2024’. While Seoul’s Incheon Airport secured the third position. This time, Seoul’s Incheon was also named the most family-friendly airport, while Tokyo’s Haneda and Narita took fourth and fifth place on the list.

Hong Kong airport also did wonders
Hong Kong’s airport was special in this list, which is ranked 11th, up 22 places. Whereas American airports were nowhere to be seen at the top. Seattle-Tacoma, the highest-ranked city in the US, also slipped six places to 24th. Badr Al Meir, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways Group, said on Doha Airport being awarded the top spot: “This year HIA celebrates its 10th year of operations and we are truly honored that passengers have chosen us for the third time. Selected as the best airport in the world.”

What is the ranking of Delhi and Mumbai?
Let us tell you that only four Indian airports could make it to the top 100 list. Delhi airport retained the 36th position in the list, while Mumbai airport’s rank dropped to 95th from last year’s 84th position. Bengaluru airport jumped 10 ranks this time, from 69th position last year to 59th position this year. Whereas Hyderabad Airport increased from 65th best airport to 61st position in 2023.
