Haryana Panchayat Minister Devendra Babli today reached Yamunanagar to attend the district level review meeting. Where he was welcomed by the officials of the district administration. He interacted with sarpanches and Zilla Parishad members. Later talking to the media he said that those who want the development of the state are with the Sarpanch government. There are some Sarpanch who are politically motivated. Apart from being a sarpanch, he dreams of becoming something else, he wants to make panchayats the arena of politics. The panchayat minister said that earlier the money spent in the village was misused, the money was spent only on paper and there was no discussion on the ground. But now everything is being done transparently. The responsibilities of the officers have been fixed. At the same time, the responsibility of the chosen people has also been fixed. The panchayat minister said that there are about 6200 panchayats in Haryana out of which 4000 panchayats had received demand letters. अवर उन पर 500 crore development works were passed. Similarly more powers have been given to Zilla Parishads. Earlier only Bus Q Center was made by Zilla Parishad. Now 18 development works have started to be done through Zilla Parishad. Similarly, the Panchayat has been given the power to carry out development work up to Rs.25 lakh.
