Radiant Silvergun is now available on Steam.
The PC port of the legendary Treasure shmup, a true cult classic of the genre, released in arcades in 1998 and later published for Sega’s Saturn, was announced with a launch in August, which was subsequently delayed until November, without a Fixed date.
The new computer version has been developed by the Japanese studio Live Wire, which was already in charge of last year’s Switch port, and is fully optimized for PC, with full compatibility with keyboard, mouse and Xbox, PlayStation and Switch controllers.
Apart from the Classic mode with the original aspect ratio, the Modern mode that debuted in the Xbox Live Arcade version and the Ikaruga mode are also included.
Ikaruga, in fact, was his successor. Another classic of the genre, also created by Treasure, was recognized for inheriting the color change mechanic, with which weapons were enhanced and extra points were obtained.
