In addition, the investment amount was updated, going from three thousand 028 million pesos to three thousand 565 million 797 thousand 844 pesos.

The work is located in the La Joya ejido and is built on a total area of ​​98,117.90 square meters, of which 43,342.85 are construction. The Institute explained that it is a “turnkey” construction project, that is, a fully equipped and functioning hospital will be delivered.

In addition, it was reported that it will have 250 census beds for the benefit of one million 781 thousand 112 beneficiaries and will replace the “Dr. Francisco Galindo Chávez”, which will be a reference for third-level care services in the states of Durango, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Tamaulipas and Nuevo León.

The Regional Hospital will reduce the backlog in consultations, surgeries and office studies and will offer 35 specialties to the legal profession: psychiatry, endocrinology, angiology, immunological allergology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, neurology, hematology, infectology, internal medicine, medical oncology, pulmonology , dermatology, pediatric surgery, pediatrics, neonatology, gynecology and obstetrics, perinatology, general surgery, anesthesiology, surgical oncology, orthopedics, traumatology, neurosurgery, proctology, ophthalmology, geriatrics, cardiology, otorhinolaryngology, urology, algology, nutrition, nephrology, maxillofacial surgery , telemedicine, colposcopy, among others.

According to the schedule, there will be state-of-the-art medical equipment, which includes: linear accelerator, magnetic resonance imaging, a tomograph to perform simulations, hemodialysis chairs and machines, and an area of ​​physical medicine in rehabilitation, in which build a Hubbard tub, which is indicated for greater muscle relaxation and works with a water propulsion mechanism.

According to the ISSSTE, it will include eight operating rooms, one of them assigned to the cardiology service, where the infarction code will be treated immediately in the hemodynamics room; nuclear medicine area that will provide care from Monday to Friday in the morning and afternoon shift, will have two scintillation chambers and a hot room, which will have an iodine injection room and a positron emission tomograph (PET), which is a high-tech equipment that guides and helps in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients, as it evaluates the functions of tissues and organs and allows the disease to be identified early. It will also have an area for physical exertion and radiotherapy, which will have a linear accelerator and a brachytherapy room, both of which are also important for the treatment of people with conditions of this type.

Among the auxiliary diagnostic services it will have: imaging, clinical analysis laboratory, blood bank, pathological anatomy, magnetic resonance and nuclear medicine, which will offer comprehensive care in the timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.

In addition, this hospital will be equipped with 12 elevators, three Chiller units of 500 tons each, two emergency plants, 54 cooling units (UMAS) and a wastewater treatment plant, which will be used for toilets and irrigation of green areas. ; two boilers, a fire system, closed circuit video surveillance and a heliport.

Federal authorities maintained that the construction of this unit will not represent any debt for the institute, since its construction and equipment is done with its own resources “well managed and transparent.”
