Villagers caught Baba performing tantric ritual by removing body parts from funeral pyre – dainiktribuneonline.com

A sensational case has come to light in village Batta of Kalayat sub-division, where the skull and heart of the deceased were taken out of the funeral pyre and practiced Tantrik vidya. The villagers caught a Baba accused of practicing Tantrik Vidya on the spot and handed him over to the police. Surendra, son of the deceased, resident of Lohri All Patti, said that his father 55-year-old Balwant Singh had died on Tuesday due to dengue. His last rites were performed at the local crematorium at around 6.30 pm. When he reached the cremation ground at night to take care of the pyre, he saw that his father’s pyre had been tampered with and at some distance, three to four persons were performing Tantrik Vidya by removing his father’s skull and other body parts. They caught a Baba from the village who practiced Tantrik Vidya on the spot while the other accused fled from the spot. He called dial 112 and handed over the accused Baba to the police.

The funeral pyres have been tampered with before too

Surendra told that in the cremation ground of the village where the accused were practicing Tantrik Vidya, a huge quantity of intoxicants and puja materials were kept there. There have been complaints of tampering with the pyres in the past also. He has demanded the police administration to take strict action against the accused.

The matter is being investigated thoroughly

Police station in-charge Rohtas Kumar said that the entire matter is being investigated thoroughly. If anyone has tampered with the funeral pyre, strict action will be taken against the accused.
