What are some of the worst bathroom habits?

A new survey has revealed the bathroom habits that bother Americans the most.

A third of the 2,000 adults surveyed said leaving toothpaste or makeup stains on the sink (30%), forgetting to turn down the toilet flusher (29%), and urinating on or around the toilet seat (29%) are some of the worst things one can do in the bathroom.

What respondents also don’t like is when someone leaves hair in the sink or bathtub drain (28%), forgets to replace the toilet paper (27%), or leaves the toilet seat up (25%). .

The Microban 24 and OnePoll study also found that 39% would feel embarrassed if their guests used the bathroom when it is dirty.

Likewise, 40% of respondents think guests seeing their house dirty is as stressful as a day at work.

However, 60% say they only disinfect their home before receiving visitors.

“Homes experience a lot of movement throughout the year, so it’s important to keep surfaces disinfected before and after entertaining,” said Microban 24 scientist Maria Striemer.

“That’s especially true during flu season, when homes are more susceptible to bacteria.”

During flu season, people tend to be more proactive with cleaning.

Respondents disinfect their homes more regularly (59% vs. 45%), as bacteria are constantly on their minds more this year than last year (59% vs. 41%).
