WhatsApp will stop working from December on these cell phone models

MEXICO CITY (approx). – Starting December 1, 2023, the WhatsApp instant messaging application will stop working on more than 30 cell phone models.

Periodically, Meta’s proprietary program reviews the operating systems with which the devices operate, based on their age and number of users and whether, above all, they maintain the security updates required for their daily operation.

As WhatsApp explains in its Help Center, in order to keep up to date with the most recent technological advances, it regularly stops supporting outdated operating systems to dedicate its resources to supporting the most recent ones.

Stopping working with certain operating systems and phone models is also a way to ensure that the application maintains the privacy standards necessary to keep conversations safe.
