Omega Force, the developer of Wild Hearts, has shared more details about the big content update that the game, published by Electronic Arts, will receive next April. Among them, a new monster has been revealed, which will be a “petal-manipulating fox.”
Omega Force had already indicated that it had plans to carry out this great update in its post-launch roadmap, but now it already has an official date: it will be released on April 6 and can be downloaded for free.
The main novelty, of course, is Murakumo, the fox-like Kemono with petal-manipulating abilities, which is the first all-new monster to join the game’s roster since launch. With the materials that we will obtain for defeating him, we will be able to create a set of armor and new weapons.
Also, a new mechanic will be introduced, called “Limit Break”, which we don’t know much about yet.
While you wait, you can download the update – albeit a smaller one – released just yesterday, which adds a new variant to the Shadowfly Kemono that already appears in the base game. After hunting him, we can create two new weapons. The update also adds three new missions to complete, which will offer us as a reward new emoticons to use in the online game.
In our analysis of Wild Hearts, at its launch last February, we said of it that “Under the EA Originals label comes a very ambitious proposal that wants to compete with the colossus Monster Hunter by being accessible, fun and an acceptable first attempt.”
